Tech Bits: Spread the Word about Temple Technology (Faculty & Staff)

As we start a new semester, please help spread the word about Temple's technology resources available for students.

  • Visit our new ITS website at its.temple.edu. The site provides information on our resources and services in a colorful, easy-to-digest format. For more comprehensive information, click the Resources for Current Temple Students, Faculty and Staff link on the home page. You will then be prompted to log in to our new accompanying site on TUportal. (Most of the links in this Tech Bit direct you to this TUportal site.)

  • Microsoft 365 is available for current Temple students, faculty and staff for free. The software is available for download on up to five PCs or Macs via the Microsoft Download link under TUapplications on TUportal.

After creating new files with Microsoft 365, students, faculty and staff can store them in OneDrive, which provides 1TB of free cloud storage space. Microsoft Teams is also available for chatting, meeting online, collaborating on projects and sharing files.

Important Note: If you don't have Microsoft 365 on your Temple office computer, we recommend that you consult with your School/College/Departmental IT support staff about options for upgrading.

  • Adobe Creative Cloud is available for current Temple students, faculty and staff for free. Creative Cloud includes programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Pro and Illustrator. The software is available for download via the Adobe Creative Cloud link under TUapplications on TUportal.

  • Zoom is Temple's web conferencing solution providing students, faculty and staff with the convenience of meeting online to collaborate and complete group projects. To learn more, see the ITS Zoom website.

  • Print on the Go enables students to use their print quota by submitting print requests via a web browser, TUmail or a mobile app. Students can pick up their printout at any print station listed on the Print on the Go page.

  • If you are in the Philadelphia area, check out OWLtech, Temple's technology store on Main Campus in Pearson Hall. Students, faculty and staff can browse and shop for the latest laptops, tablets and accessories from Apple and Lenovo, and save with education pricing.

  • The TUmobile app enables students, faculty and staff to engage with campus maps, stay up-to-date with campus news and events, and more.
