The fall semester is almost here, Owls! With classes starting soon, here are some Temple tech tools and resources to help you succeed this semester:

• Log in to TUportal to access important tools, apps, resources and systems. Starting Thursday, August 24, you will notice TUportal has a new look! New enhancements have been implemented to optimize your experience. See our blog post for more information on the changes coming to TUportal.

• Microsoft 365 is available for download on up to five PCs or Macs and up to five compatible mobile devices. To install Microsoft 365 apps, click the Microsoft 365 link in TUportal under TUapplications, sign in using your @temple.edu email address, then click the Install apps button on the upper-right-portion of the screen.
  
  Tip: To take advantage of the AutoSave feature and free cloud storage, make sure to store your files in OneDrive.
   
• Avoid the hassle of emailing documents back and forth to your classmates. Use Microsoft Teams to share files, chat, collaborate on projects and host meetings.
   
• Tap into Temple while on the move with TUmobile. Through this mobile app you can interact with campus maps, stay up-to-date with campus news and events, and more.
   
• Download Temple’s new one-touch personal safety app, TUSafe. As a replacement for the Temple Guardian app, TUSafe enables you to use a "panic button" to call and send your location to Temple’s Department of Public Safety, initiate a virtual walk home with a friend, family member or Public Safety, chat with Temple police and more. • Use Zoom to conveniently meet online to collaborate and complete group projects. To learn more, see our Zoom webpage.

• Download Adobe Creative Cloud via the Adobe Creative Cloud link in TUportal under TUapplications and explore your creative side through apps such as Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Pro and Illustrator.
   
• Looking to buy new tech? If you are in the Philly area, shop at OWLtech, Temple's technology store in Pearson Hall on Main Campus. Browse all the latest laptops, tablets, and accessories from brands such as Apple, Dell, Lenovo, Skullcandy and more, all at education pricing.
   
• Save money by not having to buy a printer or ink cartridges. Instead, use your print quota to submit print requests using Print on the Go. Then pick up your printouts at any available print station location.

• Don’t forget to register a device for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Temple's major websites require MFA as an extra layer of security to protect your personal information. See our MFA webpage to get started.

• Need help learning how to use Microsoft 365 or Creative Cloud apps? LinkedIn Learning offers access to thousands of videos on creativity, business and technology topics taught by industry experts, as well as certificates and skills to add to your LinkedIn profile.

• Canvas is Temple's learning management system providing you with centralized access to course materials, assignments, announcements, grades, discussion boards, among other applications. To learn more, see our Canvas webpage.
