On June 5, students, faculty, and staff gathered with Phillies pride to cheer on the hometown team during a spirited Watch and Wear event hosted by the Katz Employee Engagement Committee.

Attendees rocked their favorite Phillies gear while enjoying a live stream of the game, classic ballpark snacks, and exciting raffles at the end of each inning—including a grand prize of Diamond Club tickets. The event offered a fun break in the day and a chance to connect with colleagues!

At Katz, student voices shape real change. Through the Independent Student Analysis (ISA), students provided valuable feedback, and that input led to improvements in study spaces, career advising, clinical experiences, wellness support, and communication.

Now it’s time to see those changes for yourself—and win some Katz swag!

📩 How to Enter:

Take part in this week’s LCME “You Said, We Did” Scavenger Hunt!

·        Find three locations on campus where student feedback led to improvements.

·        Snap a photo and email them to KatzComs@temple.edu.

·        The first three submissions from both North Philadelphia and St. Luke’s campuses will receive Katz swag! 🎉

Did you know? Over 80% of students participated in the ISA survey. Want to continue sharing your thoughts? Scan the QR codes on signs throughout the building to send kudos or concerns!

The LCME accreditation visit is only four weeks away! This visit ensures Katz continues to meet the highest standards in medical education. Over the next four weeks, we’ll be sharing key information to help you prepare—and some fun challenges along the way.

What is LCME?

The Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) is the accrediting body for U.S. and Canadian medical schools. Every accredited medical school undergoes a full LCME site visit every 8 years to maintain accreditation.

📅 When is the site visit?

From April 7-9, a team of medical education experts will visit Katz to meet with faculty, students, and leadership. They might even stop you in the hallway to ask about your experience!

🎯 This Week’s Challenge: Find Hooter the Owl!

An image of Hooter is hidden somewhere on the LCME Accreditation Hub on the Katz portal.
