To: faculty and staff using ITS-managed Windows computers

In the coming months, ITS will enroll your Temple Windows computer in Microsoft Intune.

Microsoft Intune is a mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) service that enables technical support groups to securely manage Temple users, computers, and mobile devices on campus or remotely.

Your computer will be enrolled regardless of whether it resides on a university network or a remote network off-campus.

Enrollment Process
In most cases, the enrollment process should be transparent. If your computer is not currently encrypted, however, it will also be encrypted using Microsoft BitLocker during this time.

BitLocker is a whole-disk encryption data protection solution that protects against data theft or exposure from lost or stolen computers.

The enrollment process will occur after hours between 12:01 am and 5:00 am. You will be prompted the day before with the following pop-up window:
