Tech Bits: Use TUmail Encryption When Sending Confidential Data

Need to send someone confidential data, such as a birth date, social security number, driver's license number, financial statement or HIPAA protected health information?

If so, make sure to protect it using the encryption feature in TUmail. To use this feature, see our quick instructions.

Note: If you already use the TUsafesend website, you can continue using that resource as well for sending confidential data.

Please be aware that Temple requires you to use either of these two methods whenever sending confidential data through email.

Thank you for your participation in helping to protect the personal information and privacy of our students and employees.

If you have any questions, please contact the Help Desk at tuhelp.temple.edu to live chat with us or submit a help request, or call 215-204-8000.
